When I first reached the legal driving age, I was initially really disappointed that I couldn't drive. Over time, though, walking everywhere just became my normal and I found that I really enjoy it. Whether walking or biking, you're able to take in more of your environment. It might take a little longer to get around, but it's less passive. Living in Vienna now, I'm still a little too intimated to bike around the city, but bike rentals make it really easy to try when I don't feel like taking public transit or the distance is just too far by foot. Great article, Rina!
