What an important point!

I wholeheartedly think that much of the climate crisis has resulted from our disconnect with the world we're harming. As I have personally become more aware of climate change and its impacts, I've also grown more attune to my own detachment. I've never grown my own food, produced my own clothes, or struggled to keep items functional well beyond their limits.

But regaining those connections has been eye opening for me, and just like you mentioned, it has allowed me to become more mindful of the loss experienced by others as the effects of climate change grow.
