It's absolutely terrifying how anti-maskers have come to polarize this. I was just reading about a much worse incident in Germany, where a man was asked politely to wear a mask by a cashier at a gas station, and rather than just refusing or complaining like anti-maskers normally would, he drove home, got his revolver and went back to shoot the cashier. That was a tragic incident of weaponizing disapproval, all for something so trivial.
