As a young public health graduate, I broke a long time ago. People that I knew and trusted as good and honest members of my community have somehow become those protesting in the streets against mask-wearing. It's mentally draining and painful to listen to people say that the numbers aren't that bad, or that people would have just died anyway if COVID-19 hadn't caught them first. I just wish everyone would recognize that this is hard on all of us.
