Absolutely. The way things are currently going, I can't see any plausible outcome that doesn't come in tow with a long list of casualties. Even peace will come at a terrible cost to Ukraine, but without NATO support and the continued risk of nuclear war from any interference, there really doesn't seem to be another viable option. Russia has already threatened to assume and act upon any cargo ships carrying artillery into Ukraine as military targets even.
