A family member, but I’ve had similar conversations over the past few years. You’re absolutely right. More than anything, I think I find it selfish. Sometimes it’s a belief in pure misinformation, but other times it’s really just plain apathy. The unfortunate thing is that privileged individuals are often the least likely to change and yet, at the same time, the people we need to adopt change the most.
